But sometimes, you get stuck in your head. Trying to juggle all the stuff - work, kids, relationship, family - and do it kindly and calmly - arggh, it's hard, right? You just want to be a bit more chill. You wanna be the fun Mum, the Mum who wants to play with her kids and doesn't find them really annoying when they are just being kids...That's where I come in!
Because man, have I been the Cranky Mum. The Yelly Mum. The waaaay too stressed Mum. And I realised, I didn't want to be that anymore. I didn't want to miss the beautiful little moments of giggles and toddler squishy cuddles and 4 year old dress-up craziness and 9 year olds telling you their worries and trusting you to make it better. I wanted to be present. But more than that, I also wanted to work! I wanted a life of my own!
I'm here to help you let go of your worry, be nicer to you, process the messy emotional stuff or the MIL who doesn't get your boundaries or your partner who doesn't see the mental load. Or the work stuff. All of it!
As well as being a Mum to 3 crazy kidlets, I'm also a mental health doctor trained in psychological strategies and I have a Master of Counselling. I was a regular GP for 15 years so you cannot shock me and I promise, no judgy-wudgyeness from me!

Hi! I'm Tanya. I'm a medical doctor whose sole passion is mental health, especially Mums! I graduated from medicine in 2003, from the University of Otago, New Zealand. I moved to Australia in 2006 to pursue general practice training. I have always had a keen interest in mental health and anxiety treatments. I have a Master of Counselling (completed 2024).
As a sometimes-loses it (ahem, busy!) mum of three, I get how Mum life can feel smothering. I'm here to help! Practical stuff, parenting stuff, evidence-based stuff!
I have advanced training in psychological services. I’m also a trained Circle Of Security facilitator (COS-I). COS is an international organisation who promote attachment based parenting.
